Chuck Watson has almost 40 years experience in the energy industry, beginning with his work offshore for Global Marine and continuing through his professional work both as an attorney and as investment banker. His area of expertise includes corporate mergers, acquisitions, raising capital, and investing, specifically in the domestic and international exploration, production, oilfield service, mid-stream, alternative energy and renewable fuel industries. Mr. Watson has specialized in transactions ranging, in terms of capital requirements, from $25 million to $5 billion dollars. He is responsible for identifying, evaluating and managing projects for clients and providing advisory services to the companies that make up the investment banking client base for Infinity Energy Capital, LLC. Infinity's services include M&A advisory, lender communications, valuation, and raising capital.
Prior to forming Infinity Energy Capital, LLC, Mr. Watson was Managing Partner for Arrowhead Energy Partners, LLC, where he ran the energy investment bank operations. While at Arrowhead, Mr. Watson was responsible for over $400,000,000 in engagements and closings in the exploration and production and midstream markets. From 1995-2005, Mr. Watson was the Managing Partner for a consortium of law firms, with offices in Austin, Dallas and Houston and was a Partner in law firms in Louisiana and Mississippi. He also utilized his extensive energy experiences as a Director for a Manhattan based insurance brokerage firm.
Throughout his career Mr. Watson has served on numerous boards and committees, including as Chairman. He was a founding member of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Financial Services Committee and served and a sub-committee chair and Committee Liaison. Mr. Watson has also been a regular speaker, drawing upon his energy industry risk management experience.
Mr. Watson graduated with Honors from Baylor University, where he was on academic scholarship, with a B.B.A. His major was a specifically designed risk management degree, focused on the offshore oil and gas industry. He was a Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society Member and remains an active member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.
In 1987, Mr. Watson graduated from South Texas College of Law, and has been AVP rated since 2004, and has been consistently recognized as possessing the “Highest Rating in Legal Ability & Ethical Standards” from 2004-2019. Mr. Watson recently celebrated his 30th year as a Texas licensed attorney.
